A friend of mine has just asked about getting a small bedroom sub that he can hide in the corner of his room, it must not stand out, but it must be discrete, any thing to fit that bill? He has just bought some wharfdale diamonds. Budget of around 200-300 euros

The smallest decent subs are going to be about a cubic foot in size, give or take a bit. You'd have to spend a little bit more but the MJ Acoustics Pro 50 (currently £299) seems to be very well thought of. For something within buget maybe consider one of the Wharfedale Diamond subs. I like REL but the cheapest new model is still way off budget. From what I've read the MJA Pro 50 outperforms the REL Quake or T3 anyway. The Wharfedales were also very well reviewed and are very good value for money.
