HELP, I'm going made, it's a minefield out there, I'm looking for something that looks cool and modern without sound trash as these things don't seem to go hand in hand all the time, some say KEF, other say Q acoustics, yet other Monitor Audio, I just end up with a list of names, you then go in to a shop and the salesman just wants to sell you the models he gets the most commission on, so that a biased opinion for a start, so what fits my criteria?

Did you see the latest offering from Q acoustics? they always get great praise heaped on them. The new Wharfdales series also are well worth looking at, I'm after a new AV amp and then I will follow that with a speaker upgrade. The new Monitor Audio RX range are top of my list, these sound impressive, so much detail with a powerful bottom end.
