This is the original ONIX DNA .. my name is Adam Worsfold owner from 1984-1991 of ONIX AUDIO and ONIX ELECTRONICS Ltd in the UK and while surfing the net I found this forum .

I love the look and just wanted let everyone know .. If you have any questions regarding ONIX AUDIO or ONIX from the UK from

Welcome to the forum Adam, thanks for the compliments, you never know if someone likes the colour scheme and design, but you can never please all, I've always seemed to be in to dark colours like Black and Gray, not sure why I lean to those colours, many on first visit think it has a Naim connection but there is no connection, we are just a small hidden forum that tries to be friendly and make friends with others that share the same interest.

I love anything that catches my eye on first glance, and in that vein this forum did just that so join I did. I didnt think of Naim, but I guess now you mention it I can see how people do . I have designed stuff for most of my days with a simple but effective appeal ( dont forget the old OA21 and how that looked in its day ) and I for one are very proud that it still does .. 25 years later

In the last few years I have been watching where the industry is going mainly because of our new venture ONIXDNA thats just about to be launched . The industry is changing but new doors will open for those with an open mind

I have noted that too many traditional looks are becoming the norm, to the point of boring , and the simple effective look seems to have been forgotton not to mention the "way off the scale looks" that some companies/people are pumping out.

Of all the forums this is the look I would choose .. well done guys. I will be seeing whats happening in the Audio world and will be glad to help out with any questions . A look is not about who did it first its about how good it is. Once again thanks for the welcome.

Hi Adam, welcome.

I like bling looking gear but mostly the understated sleek designs, milnimalistic I guess input selector and volume K*** and nice lines.

Be interesting to here more about ur new venture, perhaps u could give us the low down in the trade section about it all and maybe add some pre launch pics?

We have a number of industry people which makes a good, I like to see others opinions in which way our little industry is heading, I find it always makes for good reading getting all the differing viewpoints and even more fun watching it all unfold.

I loved the look of the old little ONIX amp, arthur on the forum used to own one, I never heard one, but the styling look just right to me, I like it clean and simple with as little as buttons and lights as possible. My feeling is a good design and looking hifi is always good hifi no matter what age it is.
