I want to get some new music, but not sure what to get. Can someone recommend me some of their classic / must have albums. It doesnt have to be rock, I have a very wide musical taste. General tastes are:

Modern, Killers, White lies, Kasabian, kaiser chiefs etc
70's stuff: thin lizzy, pink floyd, supertramp, carpenters, Paul McCartney, etc
Soul: Solomon Burk, thats about it
Classical, most as long as its interesting and involving. Dont like slow, or wishey washey pieces
Opera: Mario Lanza!

i didnt forget about the stereophonics!...i was trying to forget about them, i was doing ok, until you reminded me of them!..[only kidding]..going back to your question, i prefer welshcakes with butter!...some people dip them in tea?...the savages!....one of my all time favourite bands is a group called man, they came from your neck of the woods! 70s progressive rock. really good imo. surprise by paul simon,fab album. upside down by ainsley lister,what a vibe.neil young,chrome dreams2,it rocks.porcupine tree,fear of a blank planet,buy this album!...brandon flowers,flamingo.excellent.zero7,simple things. sounds good on the hi fi! i could go on 4ever,mostly i listen to classical music! the list begins.....
