I'll be using both moving magnets and moving coil cartridges. Hence the need for load adjustment.
I'm using a dino but find I require a little more leading edge impact and transient attack.
Cyrus amps are used with a michell record player. And an ortofon 2m black cartridge at this moment in time.
I take it all tha above suggestions are not of background music politeness then Colin ?

Try the Edwards Audio series. Fully adjustable and upgradable with power supplies etc. Lively without being tiring and good detail. Certainly 'toe tappers'.

They look good too.

They certainly look nice ozzy.
British ?
Or just one of those cunningly named far east products ?
Why don't european makers try calling themselves ' banzai ' or something I often used to wonder ? Play them at their own game what ?

They are British. Designed and manufactured by Talk Electronics.

Prices are competitive, well GOOD actually. MC1 plus PSU1 is £500ish.

Alternatives:

Pro-Ject tube Box SE (around £425)
Dynavector P75 MkII (around £500 and only sounds good after a few hours of being left on but then it's very good - we susually suggest leaving it on all the time)
Graham Slee makes a whole bunch of options.
Pure Sound P10 (£600 and MM only but they make a step up transformer for it for about £400 - supposedly this is one fine phono stage whether used in MM or stepped up form)
