Can you give me a little push in the right direction, I can't decide between these two speakers, Tannoy or mission, I love the look of both and both have top reviews, but which ones should I go for?

I don't think we have any owners of those two models on this forum malcom, maybe some one will come along who may have heard them and can pass on to you their experiences.

Is there no where that you can go to hear them personally?

Malcolm, as Adam enquires, is there really no way you can hear them somewhere?

Buying speakers without listening to them first is likely to end in disappointment.

I did that once with some big Missions, ( bought because of a huge discount) and regretted it big time.

What model were they and what did you find wrong with them? If I go to a shop I always feel a bit under pressure and also I never feel you get the full truth because all they want to do is sell, what ever gives them the biggest profit will be the one they will tell you to buy or try to influence you, so for that reason I am a bit reluctant and would prefer to ask someone who might be less partial.

A retailer is there to sell product. He may make suggestions but surely, as it is your money, you hold all the cards.
Audition, audition, audition should be every buyer's mantra.

At the end of the day, it's your ears that need to make the final decision.

Look him straight in the eyes. Seriously though the dumber you may sound the more they'll try it on, so swat up first and arm yourself.
