| HI...Just a suggestion but sometimes this place has to take second place to domestic duties, like nipping to the beer shop if the wife's out for instance. ( in fairness though she does make every effort to ensure I'm well supplied ) This means I get a fleeting glimps at the pc to see if any new threads or replys are available to read . Could we possibly have a different colour for todays replies etc ? So we can spot em like on the move... Or is that a stupid idea and shut your trap Smiff ?? |

Can't imagine how anyone could manage to shut your trap petal but that's a good suggestion and shouldn't be difficult to do for anyone who has an understanding of the forum's underlying software. Problem is we can't expect our mods to all have HTML skills. |

| In a subtle way while still incorporating a veiled insult , I think Mr Bach is actually agreeing with me ! It must be something he's eaten ? |

| Hi mark e smith, if you look at the bottom of a forum (not category) you'll see folders in various colours, if the folder is Green, it means new posts have been made, Red means new posts in a popular thread have been made, if the folder is white for example to your left on threads it means no new posts have been made, in other words if a folder is green to your left in the threads it means new post have been made. HTH. |

| Ah!.. What a difference from the 'other' forum!
Instant response by the Administrator!
.... and, JSB, I don't think mods have the authority to change anything in the forum, that's the prerogative of the admin. and site owner. |

Ah well, then 'Mark' can't blame you for the color scheme. And yes, responses by the mods here are very rewarding. Few posters on forums and newsgroups realize how much work is involved in being a moderator. I for one sure appreciate the effort. THanks. |
