| Due to an ongoing friction between myself and a new member I have decided the forums become more of a chore than the fun it was. This ambience at the mo is no good for the place and as none of us are being paid to do this I feel It's time for the new slightly more political new era to be given it's chance. Pity as I've made some good friends , but this is the way with forums I feel. I will pop in occasionally for a while to see if any of the peope who were more interested in the audio and music side see fit to pm . Out with the old and in with the new eh. Enjoy, bye bye MES |

| I wholeheartedly agree Mark E. I have decided that my time and energy are better served elsewhere. The mood of the Forum has changed dramatically in the last month or so and not for the better. As you say forums should be fun. If this sort of fun is what people are after then they are welcome to it.
Forums rise and fall according to the quality and attitude of the contributors.
To those I have enjoyed the company of, I will miss the banter Adieu. |

| I don't like politics either as your right it's not fun, I feel the same about religion too, I don't like either subject, but if someone opens a thread on it people will contribute and personalties will clash, no one has done anything wrong, it's apart of forums, no one will ever agree but I can't understand why someone leaves just because they don't like someone elses viewpoint instead of just ignoring them.
I would say, just ignore it and them.

Thing is not everyone agrees as we all know and that would be boring!
I love having different views thrown at me, a good debate is fun I think.
Thing is as there arent that many active members here like on the other forums, theres not alot of 2 channel chat, people changing their equiptment or advice needed, therefore we revert to other topics.
Maybe u guys should try another forum for ur hifi chat and just poke ur heads in every now and then to say hi and see whats happening, I use 2 other forums as said and sometimes dependiong on the weather I use one of them more than the other.....depends what I wanna talk about or need to know! |

| It isn't differing viewpoints that is the issue as far as I can see - it is what appears to be a condescending attitude, gross assumptions and lack of respect for other forum contributors.
I've not been here long, so I can't comment as authoritively as Mark and Oz - but I feel the atmosphere has altered and there is too much sniping and trying to win points or 'show off'.
I use my name elsewhere too, so those that wish to keep in touch - please do. |

Sadly I agree, but that will always happen, it happens everywhere else, the more people on a forum the more chances it will happen, leaving a forum changes nothing, you'll find the same issues every where you go. Just imagine if we had over 2000 members, do you believe it would be better? |

| Mark, Ozzy, you two are among the most prolific contributors on this forum, as well as among the most fun. It would be terrible if you left, and the contributions would probably halve overnight.
What's worse is, I can't figure out who's annnoyed you, and if it's me I'M SORRY! (although I'd love to know what I wrote...) |

| I don't believe this, boys and girls what are you thinking?
Think about being back at school, a class full of 30 kids, did you like them all?
Grow up, I thought I was the kid of the forum I feel let down. |

| What's happened here? I always found this forum to be a step above the rest, what has occurred to lead to this? |

| Here is something interesting, I thought i'd check a few stats to see how sept 2010 has been.
We have had our busiest month ever, in fact yesterday we had 190 visitors.
We get visited by 74 countries, the most coming from the UK, then surprisingly the USA>Spain>Australia>Serbia>germany>Holland>canada.
So some obviously find our comments worth reading, so I think we deserve a little pat on back despite the recent bickering. |

| A little excitement warms the place up. But why any one would leave over a little hand bag fight leaves me baffled. |
